Benefits Of A Burnt Wood Fence

Coated

A fence should be able to withstand the challenges associated with the extremes of the outdoors. All our burnt wood fencing boards are pre-finished with natural oils, specially designed to protect and increase the longevity of your fence.

Sustainable

Atelier TwentyOne is focused on sustainable methods of sourcing and manufacturing, and is passionate about conserving our environment.

Withstands Harsh Environments

When it comes to fencing, charred timber is a natural choice. A material that is durable, strong and reliable it complements your outdoor landscape and environment.

Low Maintenance

The charcoal surface as part of the Shou Sugi Ban process protects timber by creating a layer of carbon that provides higher water and fire resistance. The process makes the wood stronger by exposing it to the right amount of fire to fuse timber grains. It also deters rot by making it less desirable to bugs, insects and fungi.
