Atelier TwentyOne was born from a passion for craftsmanship, sustainability & design. In our studio we create superior quality burnt wood solutions that can be used for all manner of applications, from cladding, decking and fencing through to furniture.
The process is about substance rather than superficiality. Taking time and energy to prepare everything by hand gives a real authenticity, and it’s that authenticity that is lacking in a lot of mainstream projects today. That’s something we think designers and architects will appreciate.
The variety of finishes and the different species available provide architects and designers with so much choice and diversity in its application. Every job can be truly tailor made. Whether it’s inside or out, your wood won’t be the same as anyone else’s.
Our team have over 20-year experience in construction and engineering. We have combined this expertise with a shared passion for charred wood to develop a proprietary process that innovates the traditional Japanese way to produce Shou Sugi Ban.
To ensure speed of production, quality control and sustainable practices, Atelier TwentyOne manufactures our range in our factory in Poland. We source our wood from reliable partners to ensure all our products are environmentally conscious and long-lasting.
